TLR – Total Logistics Resource, Inc. is an international freight forwarder and customs house broker with offices in Portland, OR and San Francisco, CA. Founded in 1974, we have customers around the world that rely on our knowledge and skill to help them trade in the international marketplace. Our commitment to being solution focused while providing exemplary customer service has enabled us to sit at the planning table with some of the largest importers and exports in their markets.

Our San Francisco office is currently seeking a career minded, results oriented Import Customer Service Representative. We are looking for an individual that is results oriented while also promoting collaboration and out-of-the box thinking. At TLR we believe in doing anything to become the most loved and trusted provider of international services and finding team members that will help foster that vision is paramount to our success.

This position is responsible for supporting and leading work in, but not limited to, the following:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of client specific needs, policies and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain required Import documentation as needed
  • Compile carrier and route assignments (client specific)
  • Compute international fees for each shipment; be sure the correct information is sent through to accounting for timely processing of invoices.
  • Monitor account issues and communicate openly with Management
 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Air and Ocean Import experience required
  • Experience handling the following commodities; wine and spirits
  • Customer Service focused; demonstrated ability to WOW your customers
  • Must possess the ability to analyze problems and actively seek resolutions, both independently and within a team framework.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs a must
  • Demonstrated ambition, adaptability and accountability
  • Ability to effectively organize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
